WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO AUDITION!!

At the audition, you will generally fill out an audition form, wait to be called, present your headshot and resume to the agent, and perform a commercial or monologue if asked. Do not be discouraged if your audition only takes a few minutes. That is completely normal!

AUDITION RULES

  1. Most auditions will have assigned group times depending on your age. You must attend during your assigned time. You will be seen in the order that you sign in.

  1. Please limit attendance at the audition to the child auditioning and a parent or guardian. It is inappropriate to attend with your entire family (especially small children). We do not have the space and it looks bad to the agents. Several students have not been picked based on the agents distaste for this.

  1. Do not bring food, drink (water bottles are okay), or gum to an audition.

  1. When your name is called, be ready to walk in. Have your picture, resume, and audition form ready.

  1. Remember . . . The agents DO NOT work for us. We have no control over their attitude, the length of time they take with each individual student, your wait time, etc. This is part of the business. If you have another engagement on that day, you might miss it or be late. This is also acceptable although we highly encourage you to attend as many as possible.

Within two to four weeks of an audition, we usually receive a call back list. After we have contacted everyone on the callback list, it will be posted on the 24 hour hotline and on the bulletin boards in the training facility. Please do not call us to see if you have made the callback list! We post the callback information on our website www.jrppleasanton.com, as soon as we know!
